CHRIS BOND MUSIC

Chris Bond is a multi-platinum selling record producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in south Devon, UK.

His work has amassed over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify alone and sold over 1.75 million albums worldwide.

After graduating from Cambridge school of Art with a BA Hons in creative sound, Chris continued to develop and hone his skills in both composition and production alongside touring as a live performer (Bass Player) for Atlantic Records signed Natty.

Chris’s breakthrough as a recognised producer came at the beginning of his extended collaboration with Ben Howard. Notably his production of ‘Every Kingdom’ a multi-platinum debut album nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. Following this commercial success, Chris went on to produce Bens critically acclaimed album ‘I forget where we were’,one of Chris’s proudest works to date. His extensive touring as a key part of Ben’s band sore him perform on prestigious stages such as Glastonbury’s iconic pyramid stage, Coachella, Summer Sonic, and multiple appearances on the BBC’s ‘Later with Jools Holland’ and New Yorks ‘Late Show’ with David Letterman.

Having stepped back from touring in 2015 Chris has continued to extend his music portfolio. He has worked with a wide range of artists including Xavier Rudd, Noah Cyrus, Nick Mulvey, Roo Paynes, Justin Nozuka, Kim Churchill, Hollow Coves, Siv Jakobsen, Monica Heldal, Murdo Mitchell and Talia Rae. In addition, Chris continues to explore his interest in electronica. He predominantly works from his studio on the South Devon coast, a remote and inspirational space surrounded by nature with a diverse collection of instruments and equipment where he welcomes artists to embark on sonic journeys together.

He describes his approach to producing as very musical and hands-on;
“I tend to get deep into the music and often find myself performing alongside artists on the records I produce. I enjoy my collaborative role, writing and arranging parts. It’s always a real honour to be entrusted with someone’s demos and sketches and, in turn, help them realise their vision and create a finished body of work.”
